4 inch down pipe on an auto trans.

i was wanting to get a 4 inch exhaust with the down pipe with it, well a guy i know let me down the other day saying that the auto tranny will not allow the 4 in. down pipe to fit.

so is this true or not?

There are several guys on here running them, it wil fit. Heck I've got a five inch downpipe and my turbo system only missed clearing the heat exchanger by a little bit.

My four inch down pipe fits with my auto. I've got room to spare too.

That is a clearence issue with I believe the pre Super Duty PSD autos. It can be solved by slightly bending the firewall... Not a conceren for us at any rate...

What he said.
Mine fit like a glove, no clearance problem at all.

I bought the 4" MBRP system off of e-bay and so did my friend with an 02 HO /6-speed.

We fought to get his on. Mine went on so easy it was un-real. It was the same system, but with his there was a lot less room. We had to pull the elbow off the turbo and fight it to get it in.

I love my auto LOL.

ok, i knew he had to be wrong, or else they wouldn't make it or they would at least ask you to specify what tranny you had when you purchased the system.

... and *****, i'll have to show him that!
