because they just sound "right" when they're straight piped

while your smallblock probably sounds like it's angry that it was ever put in a pickup

it's probably also a lot louder than your Cummins... turbos are good mufflers

personally i think my 4" exhaust is actually "louder" then 5" but the 5" does have a deeper sound. I dunno about anyone else, but right around 2250 rpm 4" staight sounds like a freight train coming through, anyone else get this with there exhaust (louder at certain rpm)?

You guys are giving me wood. I have to get a 5". My stock 3" straight-piped exhaust with 5" tip just isn't getting the job done.

My fav, and what will be on mine within a couple weeks is a 4" with dual outlets. I just love the look of mass amounts of black smoke pouring out from both sides of the truck. Kinda balances it out so people on both sides of you can enjoy

Why are so many people going with 5" because it "gets attention?" Who the flop cares what joe blow thinks.

I went with 5" because I like the way it sounds, and all you guys talking make me want to take out my muffler.

imo, i like the sound and looks of 5", my dad has 5" turbo back on his 6.0 liter, but as he taught me, bigger is better. that being said, i am running 5" from the turbo back about 4 feet, then after that it split to dual 6" exhaust with 6" angle cut tips, no muffler. me and only 1 other guy that i know in my COUNTY have that. it sounds UNBELIEVABLE . Turns many heads, sets off tons of car alarms, cant talk on the cell phone, but i wouldnt trade it for anything (except mabye 8" stacks ).
