3K GSK install - results!

The measurement is from the top of the stud to the nut that holds the springs on. What you need to know is how far down the stud the nut is located. By putting the nut back on the same distance down the stud you will have the exact amount of "preload" on the new springs as you had with the originals. You could get the same information by counting how many "turns" it takes to remove the original nut and then installing the nut with the same number of "turns" but it is a lot easier to just measure the distance.

I thought the fuel plate was cool when I put that in, the GSK made it much better.

I put a socket on the alternator pulley and just turned it (as instructed here). It works better turning in one direction than the other - I think it turns better backwards than forward but it still works. It slips if you try to turn it forwards.

You have to move the governor lever way up the plate or it will be a pig off line, peak hp to high rpm, and hot egts.

You missed the little part. I'll make it clearer.
You can tow just fine with a GSK. In fact towing or hauling is much nicer with the extended rpm.
GSK is not a plug & play install. You have to work with the other pump variables.
