Ha ha... that's up to you. I'm not responsible for you trying to see if she'll lock up posi leaving the driveway. its more sensitive and you'll have to drive it with your big toe, but you can control it. Trouble is, will you?

hahaha, well on my way out of my apartment complex parking lot i plan on *TRYING* to keep it quiet so management doesnt approach me about it. But after im out and on the road i'll open it up haha

as long as i can have some control as far as keeping it in the lower rpms when i need to, so it doesnt sound or look like i'm trying to race from every stop light hahaha

I lived in apartment with my 99, straight pipe dumping just behind the cab. Management never said anything about the exhaust...

It is prettyn easy to control once yopu get used to it and that is a pretty easy adjustment...

so i went in there today to get started and got to the plug....but there was a twisted wire/cord stretched in front of it. I have no idea what its for and ive never heard of it being there so i didnt know if it was serving an specific purpose or if i could just snip it.

I tried to snap a picture of it

you can barely see it but theres a line across the bolt

can i clip this to get to the bolt?

Its just a wire to keep people from tampering with the pump. Just like the break off screw on the AFC.

It's already dark? It doesn't get dark till past 7 here... Where do you live? I don't think there are any videos. Best bet is to start it and if you think it's beyond your mechanical ability, don't go any further. Overall, it's not too bad. You're making it a bigger deal than it really is. I hope you won't be disappointed with the results. Just take your time. Don't expect to get it done in 1 hour like some people say. If you do it a few times, maybe you'll get that fast.

Yeah it took me about 20 mins to get to the plug and thats where i stopped cause i didnt know if i should/could cut that wire.
I live in Maryland, its been raining on and off all day so it got too dark about an hour early today due to it being cloudy.

So far I have the washers drilled out to 1/2" and I just need to get the plug out and intall the washers.

Hopefully the idle is near normal afterwards and nothing weird happens...

DO IT! DO IT! DO IT!

You can search my posts for pulls, but other than the motor sounding faster, there's really nothing you can see.
