Is it bad for it to get the 4K kit in preparation for future mods? Or should one get the 3K until the rest of the mods are done to warrant a 4K?

You can get the 4k just don't rev it over 3400 until you get the stronger springs.

Fueling around

You can also get the 4k set, but not install the small spring until you are ready.
