Won't installing dually adapters put a heckuva off-center load on the wheel bearings?

I wouldn't imagine it being anyworse than the stock duallie wheels. I could be wrong though. I'm no expert.

Dually wheels mounted on the front have so much backspaceing that the center of the wheel goes farther out than the tire. If you put a regular wheel on them, the tire will be at least 6 inches out farther than it was designed to be. That leverage on the bearings will kill them in a short time.

I was thinking that the duallie wheels would have more leverage pressure on the bearings than the SRW wheels would have and that the SRW wheels would be a bit better for it. Like I said.. I'm no expert. That's why I'm here asking ya'll.

Big blue is right. I have the same problem with my 305's. The fenderwell is plenty big for the 305's but it rubbs on the lower control arm. BIG BLUE and alignment won't help I tried.

Don't tell me that. It's the only hope I have.

Re:38's on stock hieght truck with level'n kit

I'm running 36x14.5 tires.

Oh, yah, and a 4.5" Lift. They come so close to rubbing at full lock on the front, it's scary.

The load on the bearings is perfect on a duallie, although it doesn't look like it.

If you were to drill a rod stright through the center of the rubber, all the way through the axle, and out the otherside, you would find that the rod would go right between the inside, and outside bearings,, making a perfect load on them.

Put a Single type tire on a Dually spacered front end, and now drill right through the center of your tire, out the otherside, and you'll be WAYYY out of you centerline of your bearings.

Here's a lame illustration...

Say you have a 14mm nut tightened to 80 Ft/Lbs,, now, put a 14mm socket on it, and try to loosen it with your hand. Not going ot happen, which means, not much load is being applied to the nut. (That illustrates a 3500 wheel, with a 3500 spacer)

Now, same nut, same socket, put a 6" extension on it, and try to loosen it,, with enough determination, you probably can. (This illustrates a 2500 wheel on a 3500 spacer)

Clear as mud?

The load wil be insane if you put a single tire on the front of a dually truck. (with Dually spacers/rotors on the front)

This is the same reason you don't drive with only 2 wheels (removing one wheel per side) on the rear of a duallie. If you do drive with one wheel per side, you have to put a single rim on it (not a dually rim), otherwise :-* your bearings goodbye.
