370's and very lightly modded truck

Hello all. I just bought some 370's and I was wondering what I should expect from a truck that has a plate, and a gsk. Should I be ok running them or are they gonna be to much? I know I'm gonna have to watch my egt's a little bit, but one of my concerns is the fact I'm already able to hit 40psi of boost. Should I just slide my plate and afc back and tighten up the star wheel? I just happened to stumble upon them for a really good price new from the factory and couldn't pass it up and am now looking for suggestions as to wait or go ahead and put them in. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks.

Yeah try no to push it over 40lbs much and watch your EGT's, but they should be fine and a nice bump of power.

I bought my 98 with 370 injectors installed already. The truck was completely stock at the time, other than a 3" straight pipe.

I installed a 4" exhaust, #11 plate, intake and gauges.

Gauges were first, and I realized that something was "off" with my "stock" truck. I was able to peg my 35psi gauge, which is 40psi+, with a full throttle run.
After the other mods, my EGT's did drop at full throttle, and now it is almost easy to peg 40psi. All I have to do is roll along at 55mph in fifth, and nail the throttle. Within a second or so, I'm at 40psi. I can do the same in third and fourth gears.
I towed around 9000 pounds of trailer and truck into Tellico last September, and really only had to downshift below fourth a couple times. There was only one hill that I had to get out of the throttle due to EGT's, when I hit 1400°.

I also got about 12-14mpg towing 9K. I get 16-18 in town, and 20-21 on the highway (under 70mph), unloaded.
