Sure you can. It's just to that everything you tow will be covered in BLACK, THICK, SOOOOOOOT. Other than that, all is well , in the towing field.

That's why I say, if you intend to race the truck, do it. If not, go milder and save the fiver. In my case, anyway.

More fuel is more smoke. Any way you cut, that's what it is.

I understand that, but is this a streetable and towable combo? I don't mind a little smoke when "normal" driving conditions are on my mind!! I just don't want to be kicking out so much smoke that I am drawing attention to myself, know what I mean?? I have enough troubles with out a black trail for the PD to follow!!!

The more foot, the more smoke. Better leave them out.

I had the 300 HP injectors some time back and wish I had um back. For what I'm looking for, they were just right. I let some other folks talk me into the 370's. Bad decision on my part. Now I'm back to the 215 HP ones, honed. Good power for what I do.

I have not seen 300's, what are they. The 370 and 330's seem really popular??

I run 370's with my AFC all the way back and it doesnt smoke at all. Now I dont have any idea how the truck runs with the AFC forward, but after the install and the housing to the rear it was still a vast improvement over stock. No smoke! Just haze at idle.

Ok guys, there are different versions of 370's out there that have different spray patterns.....the somewhat common marine 370 has a very poor spray pattern for our application and is smokey and an egt monster - but it does make huge power.....not the best choice for a tow rig or daily driver. I got 370's from a shop that I believe is a Piers dealer.....they are a honed version that is supposed to have an altered spray pattern.....does it? I couldn't say for sure but it doesn't smoke like some of these other 370's I have seen and I don't have that pronounced haze at idle. I have towed in the past with these 370's without attracting unwanted attention and covering the trailer in soot but egt was an issue but this was more a function of the turbo (or lack there of ).....I'm not about to blame high egt's on injectors when the appropriate turbo was not used. Smoke on these injector can be controlled with a valet switch and a light foot but I can only say that of the 370's I have....clearly, some 370's will not perform this way. 370's have the ability to make a ton of power and need to be treated as such.....they are a hotrod injector and will not be for everyone. Anyone looking for a mild set up for a good tow vehicle and are not looking to step up to a bigger turbo should be looking elsewhere for an injector, IMO.

The 370's in mine definately will block out the sun, I have a few photos of a burnout, with one stack, but once it breaks the tires loose, it just hazes,,,of course I have a big turbo there too. With an HX35 on there I can bury the pyro with no problem. But I also have the AFC forward a little , so maybe setting it back more would help with the smoke. I changed to stacks not only because I like them but people choked around me when I sat at a light with the regular pipes. I have 181's though so I'm sure it wouldn't be any better with a bigger set of DV's in that respect. But for the power factor,,,most cost effective I think.

True there are different 370 injectors but all stock 370 injectors, including Piers, do not have the same spray angle as the OEM injectors.
