Yes you can grind it out of your stocker, it won't hurt the engine as long as you watch EGT's, do a search in the members photos for better pictures. It is a huge improvement over the 10. It has no top end defueling so it will keep pulling hard until you run out of RPM's

Before you grind it slide your afc full forward and see if thats enough for ya. The afc is held down by 4 screws and sets on the rear of the IP. If you turned the star wheel up you was in the top of the AFC, remove the 4 screws and you will see the fuel plate held down with 2 screws.

i ground out my stock one, and i got less than with the #10. Is there a difference between grinding out a stock one and grinding a #10? do ihave to adjust the govner arm too?

Do you mean you got less horse power? Do you have the AFC slide forward? Yes you will have to adjust the govenor arm if you leave it forward. Or if you don't feel like adjusting the govenor arm you can move it back until the arm hits the plate on the tip. The fuelshutdown selenoid has to be in the up or run position.
