370 injectors
hey, i was thinking about getting some bosch 370 injectors. I already have a #10 plate and im getting a pyrometer soon too, will this blow my tranny with the plate and the injectors? Also, is there anything i can do to beef up my stock auto tranny, thats not to expensive?

I would expect the tranny to die pretty quickly with 370's and a 10. If you pulled the plate all the way back, and drove easy it would probally be ok.
Tyler is holding (Well... sort of holding) 399 hp with just a DTT valve body. I think he spent less than $500 on it.

The injectors and plate will do bad things to your tranny. There are ways to bulk it up for not to much. You could install an aftermarket valve body and improve the holding power. Give Dave Goerend a call and he'll tell you what you need. If you get 370's I would recomend geting them from Piers Diesel. They do not haze at idle and offer a little more power with lower EGT's and smoke.

Not sure how much the 330s would give you, but I'm sure they would be easier on your tranny...
But I have heard lots of people wish they had gotten bigger injectors, but never heard of anyone wishing they had gone with smaller ones.

I'd emagine that 330's would also be pretty hard on a stock tranny. A valve body upgrade could possibly hold it. I wuld go with 370's and build the trans to match.

You could slide your #10 forward and turn your starwheel up and move your afc and KEEP your stock injectors and your still going to need tranny work. Get the 370 's and build the tranny and get a pyro.

We trashed a stock '98 auto with 370's and a 100 plate. The 100 plate gave it some trouble, but the 370's put it over the edge. Like Plow said, make sure you get a pyro.
