I agree with lance. That would be a good way to go. I have the sj7" double flex kit with a 2" spacer (going to eventually run bigger tires). I have never got my 38s to rub, and I flex this truck hardcore. I have a buddy who has 38s on 4.5 inches of lift and to make it flex like he wanted to he had to do a little trimming.

Thumbs up

Great info guys, yall are definately helping me out big time.

Cowhand, thanks for the reply, Ive heard of the Long Arm 7" kit but theres no way Id ever be able to spend that much on the lift....not to even mention install . Good to know that about ride with spacers stacked on the coils, Id rather compromise on tire size than ride.

Lance, thats a good suggestion that I didn't really consider. Think I might just look into that

And again, anyone else with suggestions / experiences chime on in. I need all the info. I can get, lol

I am thinking if you want to get this done the cheapest way you should get the sj 5"base kit , I think single flex? Then you can run a 2" spacer. That should easily clear 38s. You will need a better track bar then what is supplied with the kit. Either a sj or dt trackbar will work fine.

Dont get me wrong, cheap is great in my book......but........I dont want to have to live with a horrible ride just to save a few bucks.

Im beggining to really like the idea of pieceing together a lift like Lance mentioned. If I were to do that, could I get all the different things I need from a place like 4wheelparts/Summit/JCWhitney etc...?

Check out www.pavementsucks.com.

A lot of lifted trucks, lots of lift knowlege, many on there pieced together lifts,
or even fabbed up thier own components.

Spend a couple days reading the Dodge forum.
You'll get all kinds of ideas there, even going hog wild with height and tire size.

I got my lift from Jackit (www.jackit.com), they are headquartered here in Utah.
It's worth a look as well.
They're pretty knowledgable.
