Cool. I get slight rub at full lock turning to the left only right now. If I have to, I'll do a little fabrication to the control arm to clear it.

I have 305/70/16 witch are the same width as the 315's. in order to clear the 315's you have to do at least a leveling kit 2" or more. I am currently running pro comp all terrain's and they have been the best tires I have ever run. Plus they come with a 50,000 mile tread life warr. avalible through 4wheel parts or summit racing. hope this helps

I plan on doing a leveling kit. That is why I asked this question. I've got a buddy who has 315 Pro Comp Allterrains with 6000 miles on em that he'll sell to me for about $150 for both. I was looking at the Yokohoma Geolander AT's. What about those? I like the treadwear warranty on the Pro Comps though.

Don't you guys find that the big tires shake the out of the front end and ruin the ball joints, etc really quickly?

I can run the 35's at lower PSI than the stock tires and this contributes greatly to the difference. Re:35" tires on 16x8 rim?

I went with 305/70/16 Mastercraft Courser CTs on stock 16x8 rims. They rub the lower trailing arm at full lock. It seem to be worse when turning to the left than the right. I would not recomend modifying the factory trailing arms, the flange where the contact occurs is where some of the strength in the arm is created. I believe one of the suspension lift companies sells the lower set separately that are made out of tubing rather than stamped and would gain some clearance. I am trying to figure out what I am going to do, I cant use a lift/leveling kit because I won't fit in the garage, I currently have 1" of clearance between the roof of the cab and the door opening.

Re:35" tires on 16x8 rim?

Ryan, that's exactly what happens to me now. I wasn't being serious about modifying the control arm. One thing I will do when I get those tires is have my front end realigned. My truck pulls to the right pretty bad as it is with just a taller tire. I can only imagine what it will be like when I do a lift and even bigger tires. I think that may be one reason why my tires wore so funny in the first place. I'm doing the new springs. Don't want the spacers. I may also do the shocks at the same time. It depends on money. I just got a $150 ticket for spinning my tires (it was an accident. Ground was wet and comp was on 1x5). So I don't have a bunch of money to invest right now. I'm going to start pricing tires and all and start budgeting my money. How hard is it to swap springs? All I need to do is remove the tire, support the axle and truck, undo the bottom/top shock mounts, lower the axle down enough to slip in the new ones, then reinstall everything. Right? Can I do it one side at a time? I'm trying to save myself some money here. I've swapped two sets of lowering springs but those are smaller than stock and they were on a stang with an IFS.

Re:35" tires on 16x8 rim?

My 315's were on for quite a few miles BEFORE I put the front end levelling kit in.......no more rubbing than with the kit. Maybe some trucks can't run them-mine could. But the kit makes the truck look better IMO and the Skyjacker springs ride at least as well as the factory ones-difference being you never touch the bumpstops now. I took the opportunity to upgrade to RS9000 Ranchos all the way around, a Skyjacker dual steering stabilizer kit and a DT track bar at the same time. Worked good for me.....but not cheap....

Jason
