33" tires on a stock clubcab 4x4?
Hey guys i am looking to put new tires on my truck,
currently running 265r75r16 looking to go to a 33x12.50x16, i need taller, wider tire with a more aggressive bite for pulling my trailer in the sand. i get stuck almost every time.
question is, first will the 33" tire rub? (i do plan on putting a level kit up front) also can i go bigger then that?
second question is what rpm are you guys tacking wtih 33s and 4:11 gears with the 6 speed? i currently tach about 2krpms at 60mph. hoping to lower that with taller tires?

Without a leveling kit, you can only clear 33's. With a leveling kit, you can put on 35's. Rub varies with the truck. Some trucks rub, some trucks don't. With 35's and 3.54 gears on an auto, I'm taching about 1800 at 70-75.

Here's a site you might want to check out for RPM vs Tire size

tire/gear calculators
Here are some tire and gear calculators. Hope they will help.

You should end up around 1800 RPM or so at 60 mph from my calculations. I could be wrong though.

I'm running 33x12.5's on american racing wheels....no rubbing, but the backspacing on my wheels are a little more than stock.....why doesn't anyone make a 16" wheel with a backspacing to fit our trucks....
