Changing the air effects may work , did anyone see the artical in one of the diesel magazines that using some tape & cardboard , blocking the wheels , front end , folding back the mirrors ?
They increased the millage from something like 22 to 33 .
So the 6 speed is the gearvendors ?
Then the turbo , I'm not sure , your sig says sps 62 , then someone calls it a stage III ?
I may like to duplicate some of that , but I will stay a 4x4 , unless I just go get a 2x4 .
What about the trans ? stock , built ?

On a gas truck i think you would notice alot more of a difference with the tailgate off, its supposed to be around the same as putting a toneau cover on, thats what some show on the Speed channel found anyways. I guess with the extra torque of the diesel it takes a bit of the benefit away.

I'd leave a few mpg on the table if it means not having that goofy piece of steel wrapped around the front of my truck.
If somebody is that concerned with mileage maybe they wouldn't mind it though.

Hey guys, I have the dually that got 30.94mpg gallon in Diesel Power Mag. With fuel mileage, everything helps. Trucks started at about 20mpg, intake and exhaust 21mpg, electric fans 23mpg, grille block and aero tricks 26mpg, then finally driving no faster than 60mph and coasting down hills is what got it up to 30mpg. Feel free to ask any questions. Turbo and everything else was stock at the time.
