315's on stock wheels...pics please

ive been searching the forums and cant find what im looking for. i wanna see a picture of someone who has some 315 (35") tires on stock aluminum 16x8's

i am trying to decide if i wanna go ahead and put my 315's on the stock wheels in the garage or if i wanna look for some kind of chrome aftermarket wheels (i just hate to spend $600 on wheels when these stockers i have are free to put back on the truck)

More in my gallery. Or let me know if you want a close-up or a certain angle, I can fire up the digital camera and snap a couple for ya if you can ignore the filthiness of the truck.

Jim what kind of tires are those? I'm kind of like a freak with tread pattern familiarity, and I don't recognize those.

exactly...your truck looks awesome. i got some 315 BFG AT's coming, im gonna put them on my stock wheels. they just need a good polishing first. i am also in the process of building a lift for my truck as well

d25 coils+2"spacer (or 5" coils), longer control arms, thurenfab track bar (installed already), drop pitman arm, take rear springs to Peter Spring Works to have a leaf added and re-arched to 4" lift ($125), shocks all around

What is the down side to putting 315's on the stock rims? All the reading that I have done has told me that that size tire on the stockers is a way bad idea. I really want something to fill up the wheel well but I dont want to drop the money if Im just goint to have to replace them less than 1 year later. Any ideas? -Tim-

They look like the Buckshot mudders. Made by Maxxis?

Very popular around here.

Bingo. They're in my signature, though, so I don't know how many points to give him.

I don't know why that would be. About the only problem I have is that they rub the control arms at full steering lock. For just about any tire that you're interested in, go to the manufacturer's website. They'll typically have all kinds of data listed, such as the tread depth, load rating, dimensions, etc. They'll normally have a column that lists approved rim widths for the tire, and sometimes one that shows what size rim they used when measuring to get the other listed dimensions. As long as the tire you're interested in meets the requirements of what you're putting it on and what you intend to do with it, I can't see why there's a problem.

Do you have any lift besides the D25 coils?

No, but it does have the camper package, so it sat way high in the rear right from the factory. With D25s installed, it's still about 1 1/4" higher in the rear when measured on a level surface.
