I can see getting an alignment to prevent wearing out new tires, but i've had 6-7 sets of tires between my two trucks (and on the ranger, going from a 24-25" tire to 31" so that's a definite size increase..) and have never noticed abnormal tire wear or pulling.

Ok, now that I sit and think about it, maybe it doesn't change.

On a new truck you shouldn't need an alignment, but if it is a couple years old or older, get one.

phox

Re:315's BFG
Well, allignment does not change- all the angles remain the same. But if you change tires it may be adviseable to change the allignment to make better use of the different characteristics of the tire. eg reduced toe in for low profile tires that you mount to improve handling- this will lead to the truck having more tendency to oversteer, and will also lead to a better brake performance, but will sacrifice stability against lateral wind.

HTH

AlpineRAM
