315/70/17 vs 315/75/16

i got a question for all you educated people out there. Im thinkin about gettin some 315/70/17s for my truck, and i know the 315/75/16s rub with just a leveling kit on the second gens. well if i got a little off set rim to go with the 315/70/17's would they be enough more short to clear the fenders. so what i guess im askin is how much shorter, are the 315/70/17 than the 315/75/16s. thanks in advance

315/75R16 comes out to 34.6 inches.

315/70R17 comes out to 34.4 inches.

Not that much difference between them.

I've got 305/70/17's with stock suspension on 17x8 wheels with 4.5" BS, and they just barely rub, with the wheels turned and going over a pretty big bump. The 315's should be about half an inch taller....
