3000gsk 215pump spring adjustments

i have read some posts about lessened bottom end or top end performance after installing a gsk.i have probably adjusted mine some amount too tight as the idle screw backed all the way out still results in a little too high idle speed.i have noticed some have posted that looser settings increased bottom end power somewhat and some have said that their top end improved from looser settings also.just would like to get some replies if you dont mind sharing your experiences.im not really impressed at all with the driveability and manners of this 215 pump over my 180[both with a 10 plate]as i have a low rpm flutter/chuggle between 1300 and 1550 that bugs me nuts..might just be my red oak injectors not too happy there,or am i missing something obvious like gsk being too tight maybe? i adjusted it that way cause i like it being responsive, but maybe its the whole problem..what do you think if i might ask?? p.s. it isnt a ball of fire in high gear either, and may be a tad weaker than my 180 was!!!!!!!! thanks

when the springs are installed right your RPMs should be the same or very close to it. if there to tight it will feel like the truck falls flat at higher RPM and Idle will be higher too. never had a flutter only the feeling that it was hard getting to 3k (no power feeling)

After you get the GSK adjusted right for idle- you may have to re-contour the low rpm part of the fuel plate to get more fuel in that rpm range or adjust the "arm" up to get into the deeper part of the plate sooner.
The 3k GSK makes the arm go up the plate less farther as it goes up in rpm as it did without the GSK. I've got to do this also.

I have the 4k kit in mine because it was the same price. I put it in before I ever had the motor running.I set it up like the instructions said to . The idle is around 800 rpm, I put in a homemade plate in a conservative 100 profile I made the ramp a little thicker on the bottom end portion.I did nothing to the AFC ,boost fooler set to 30 lbs and I have boost right away 10 lbs taking off in a normal manner. The only thing I need to address is a lack of response but I think that is timing because I have plenty of fuel. I can hit 1300 temp easy if I just bury it.
