I hope I can keep from blowing my head gasket. It water injection should keep my temps inline. 3200 RPM probably won't kick a rod bearing, but I will be nervous about the rings hitting the ridge in the sleeves the first few tomes I let' er rip. I've busted rings and collapsed ring lands on gas motors wrapping them past the ridge before, it's not a good sound!

What is the complicated algebraic equation that will get me off the "Junior" member list?
Just curious..........

I have downloaded the instructions and pictures to change the spring, but I am nervous about the throttle position part. My pump is a rebuild and not in the truck so it should be easier, but I'm worried about the "gotchas". The other adjustments to the power enrichment systems makes perfect sense.
Any advice oh sage ones?

If the pump is off the truck because it is a rebuild, then I assume that you still have a pump on the truck. Is that right? If so, you should be able to take the voltage measurements on the truck now before you do take it off. You are going to have to do that anyway, to put on the new pump.
However, if you don't have a pump on the truck, you'll need to set it up from scratch. If you do a search for the word "TPS", on either this site or TDR, you'll get some hits. That's how I found out how to set up mine. The Dodge FSM procedure didn't work very well.

I think I must me confused, because I have a 5 spd, which doesn't have a TPS. Maybe I misread the instructions.
Any other gotchas?

The only thing you will need to remove from your pump is the throttle assy, idle screw and fuel screw. Be careful when removing the throttle assy and make a mental of note of how the shaft that the throttle assy rides on is clocked. It has a mark on the top of it and it needs to be indexed in the same spot when you start putting the pieces back together. The job really isnt all that hard if you pay attention. I ended up rounding 2 of the 4 allen heads off that holds the top of the pump on so it took me a little longer.
