Never had any surging issues with my 370s. Hated the haze at idle, though. Plus, they smoked ALL of the time pulling a trailer, even empty. The DDP4 still can blackout a highway, but it is more controllable. MUCH cleaner burn. EGTs aren't any worse than having the 370s.
