Question 3" straight pipe big enough?

I have a 3" straight pipe exhaust and would like to block the waste gate and move my stock plate ahead some and also move the AFC housing forward and tweak the AFC diaphram a bit. I would also like to install the washers on the govenor for 3k. Will my stock exhaust be enogh to handle these mods or am I looking at a 4" exhaust?
I also pull my 5er which weighs 12,000lbs loaded.

Stock exhaust piped should be good for ~300-350hp, so you should be fine with just moving the plate, and 3K GSK.

Also, don't block the wastegate...set it to keep boost at 35-36psi and forget it! Stock turbos won't live long at higher boost!! (I ran mine at 51psi, but when it let loose, it pumped out 8qts of oil onto the ground! Not worth the risk) At less than 40psi, which you should be under, they will live a long happy live!!

just block the wastegate, you're not going to go over 35psi w/ a stock plate and injectors...

3" straight pipe will be plenty fine.

as always, get gauges

Thanks for the quick answers. I don't think over boost will be a problem as I can't even get to 25psi at wot.
