Question 3" or 4"

which is louder a 3 inch or four inch exhaust. someone told me the three inch was louder. just wonderin. new to the site. just bought me an 01 dodge 1 ton 4x4 6 speed. 100,000

I agree with Graphite

If you ever decide to go twins or just want wicked sound go with a five inch exhaust, or with a five inch tip. The sound is killer, and its not much more than a four inch exhaust. Twins, chips, and other mods will benefit from the five inch, but then again the down pipe is only a four inch, so that might be another upgrade u would need to do, but im not to familiar with this, bein that i have a four inch banks stinger.. Sounds, just a lil louder than stock..... But it does shoot soot!
