very tough to find. i dont believe they make them anymore so the only replacement/aftermarket option you have is to find them in a junkyard, and they will most likely be expensive.

a buddy of mine has a set of front/rear ( axles & all ) from a 92'?? i think, first gen. 4x4 srw ton truck for sure, I can try & get a hold of him & see if he'd sell them?? just let me know, Dusty

I believe you are correct.....I'm not certain if it is the 70 U, but I think you are right. It is the housing casting that has the offset pinion bore to accept a pinion gear with higher tooth count that allows for higher gear ratios (lower numerically) than 3.54......it is the same idea as the D61.
