2wd diesel with body lift why will it not work

why will the body lifts not work with the desiel. all the body lifts say for all but diesel. why is this. I am sure someone has tried it or made one work. if you need to move or make brackets it is no big deal just wanted to know if anyone has tried it.

We made a 3 inch body lift for my cousins truck but its a 4x4. I see a bunch of signatures with bodylifts in them on here all the time but always 4x4. Im shure a lift for the same 2500 gasser will work just fine, but you will have to do some custom work with radiator shroud, possibly intercool piping, (we just shortened them 2 inches) some wires and hose my haf to be move some. But it should all work like it would on the gassers.

Here's a body lift for 2000-2002 2500/3500 2 & 4wd diesel only.

According to the site the kit also weighs more than the other ones. A little confusing.

I'm guessing the bushings either can't take the weight of the diesel (plus whatever heavy load) or they're afraid it won't work with all the intake piping and stuff.

They work just fine! I've had my 3" on for almost 2 years now and have had ZERO problems with it. I just bought the one for a V10 and the only thing I had to modify was the driver side intercooler pipe. Trimmed about an 1 1/2" off of it. The rest of it was a breeze.

Why not? I think a truck just looks better a little lifted and lets face it, I know 70% of you guys that lift your 4x4's never go off-road, they just look good and thats cool with me.

Its not a bad idea but i lost some get up and go with my bigger 305/75/16s. I added a fueling (quadzilla) and it helps but i'm pretty sure i'm going to stack it with a smarty to get the off the line get up and go back.

It is all about the look. I want to put bigger tires on it. The stacks don't look so cool on a stock 2wd with small street tires. I had a 1500 4x4 and never put it into 4wd the 2 years I owned it.

it will work put mine on yesterday

I bought the summint kit (3" body lift) for the gas truck. The only mod I had to do was cut 1.5" off the driverside intake tube for the turbo and cut the bottom out of the rad shroud. I did not have to extend the fuel spout. you may have to on the 4x4 but mine worked fine without it. It was a big job but no more than any body lift. so to answer the question the kit will work and the truck looks great. I will be putting 305/70 pro comps on it and posting pics later. if you have questions feel free to email me at hollidelo@cableone.net

"I know 70% of you guys that lift your 4x4's never go off-road" <this isnt true at all around my neck of the woods. about everyone around here the has a lifted 4x4 uses it on a regular basis. i do for sure, my dads 4x4 durabox gets used all the time for pulling out stuck mowers other stuck trucks (me and my idiot friends), and to tell yall the truth, the ladies love a lifted 4x4 the can take a beating and then get cleaned up and never tell that its been offroad once. plus fat girls cant jump, so why not put it up in the air, if it will keep them outta the truck.
