Talking 2nd gen vs 3rd gen

hi guys,i recently found a decent deal on a used 3rd gen,its a 2003 dually 6spd,low miles, ive always wanted the fullsize rear doors, and i realize now a longbox is the way to go.i love my 2nd gen truck.my question is,is it worth it to start all over again with the mods?will i lose quite abit selling my 2nd gen mods?{comp-smarty-injectors}.any input would be great, thanx

If you really like the 3rd gen, go for it. You'd loose some money, but since you are not bombed real heavily you should be able to sell the mods and make some money back.

You'll lose a little money and some torque. I hear the 3rd Gen Smarty is going to be coming soon.

With the '03+ QC you only gain 3" of leg room. Not worth it in my opinion. However, once you factor in the difference between a 3/4 SB and a 1 ton LB my tune changes significantly.

Keep in mind too that the '03 doesn't have that goofy 3rd injection event to give you trouble like the '04.5+ trucks do.

I say go for it as long as the number on the '03 is right!
