I just installed a set of 3rd Gen. cab lights on my brothers 01 that he got from a junk yard so it had the lenses and lights but not the complete harness. All you have to do is pull the headliner down and there are existing holes in the interior sheet metal of the roof. I used a 7/8" drill bit but I would recomend using a holesaw so the hole is cleaner. We just wired the lights in series and spliced the drivers side running light and grounded it to the interior sheet metal of the roof. I would also recomend using silicone around the screw holes to keep moisture out.
