2nd Gen Cab roof lights Harness?wiring?

what type of wiring harness can I use to plug the cab lights? whre I can keep the source to lighten them? from overhead console maybe
let me see your install, I wanna install them with a on off switch in the OH console..
any suggestion will be much apprecciate

did your truck come with them? mine was factory so when i put my smoked ones in but i think recon lighting has install instructions for thier cab lights

my truck doesn't come with cab lights from the factory... I need a template? it comes with recon or oe set of lights...

The factory set comes with a template, the recon does not. I made my own wiring harness for the lights.

I bought the kit from the dealer for mine. It came with the template, harness, and directions.

no i had to look farther.. recon has a pdf file but its measurements are for the 03

I ran my wire to the headlight switch. Just find a hot wire when the parking and headlights are on. If you pull your headliner down you should already have holes in your roof on the inside as it is a two piece desine. I got a 1 or 1and 1/8 inch holesaw and it fit perfectly in the holes,just drill from the inside out and you cant mess up. I also got all my lights and full harness from a wrecking yard for 50 bucks.

I made my own wiring harness and hard wired the lights in (re. soldered, splicing tape and liquid electrical tape).

Its a simple series curcit Im in college right now at Suny Morrisville and that is what were learning in D-Tec Electrical.
Dont think it sould be that hard getting them to light up run a fusiable wire from the dash lights or something like that. I would find a template thought wouldent want to make them crooked or anything!
