2nd Gen 24V auto to manual conversion
I'm sure somebody has done this or has at least looked into it in depth. I know it would be easier to just sell the current truck and buy another one with a manual, but this is just a mental excercise to break the boredom. The aftermarket auto I'd like to have would run in the $5000 to $6000 range, so I was wondering if an NV5600 could be installed for that comparable or less money. Anyone have any numbers???

Auto to stick
Go with a good aftermarket trans and converter. You'll wished you would have done it when you first bought your truck. Call Dave Goerend he's the best. Thanks Steve B.

I would agree with CTD, I have a manual and have no complaints about it. But if they had all the improvements available when I bought the truck that they do now I would have gone Auto without a second thought. It's alot of work shifting these trucks all the time especially when pulling heavy. And speed, from a rolling start I would take on about anything out there, but from a standing stop, by the time I get to 4th gear and get any speed up that little generic ricer is halfway down the block.
