275 injectors

I am thinking of purchasing a set of bosch 275 injectors for my truck, my question is will my trans. hold up to the added power. My truck will be totally stock except for the injectors. Also are they worth the money, or should I just save it. Another thing can dealers tell that you have different injectors in the motor by just looking at it or do they have to physically take them out?

I dont know a lot about injectors since I havent got some (yet) but I have been reading some. I believe your tranny will be fine but I cant say exactly how much power/torque your tranny will handle. I think the amount and weight of towing is a factor, too. As for the dealer, I think they wont notice unless they have a very good diesel mechanic. But I do hear that bigger (not sure how big) injectors do idle with a lope.

Your dealer won't have a clue unless he removes the injectors. They won't lope at all. The injectors that lope are like 100+ hp injectors (super mentals and the like). Your trans should handle it just fine. I'm getting ready to do the same thing.

Adding a boost fooler along with wastegate mods might be a good idea.

The 275's should add about 25 hp to your ETC engine. This will be no problem for your trans. A little extra boost wouldn't hurt, but you need to add a boost fooler before you do wastegate mods so you don't set an overboost code.

I think they add more than that, the seat of the pants measurement is great, mileage goes up also.

How do I get extra boost? Do I need it....or can I just put the injectors in and go?

go to turbo master.com its like $69.00 replaces the waste gate controler and alows you to set boost where you need it. and if you add more fuel you will want more boost cooler egts as well as usable power. by an edge ez or a comp and run it in ez for now. it will wake it up

well I really don't want to add all of this stuff since the truck only has 16k, A buddy of mine has them on his truck and he is selling it so he said I could have them for free if I wanted them. But if I have to add a bunch of stuff I will probably just leave them off, because I plan on leaving the truck stock, until it is out of warranty. I only pull a 3500 lb lawn trailer a couple of times a week so it's not like I need the power, just thought I would throw them in if it was easy.

I don't think you need to use a boost fooler. My above suggestion was just food for thought.

Well, I know they add about 40-45 hp when you replace the smaller injectors in an ETH with them.

I also picked some mileage in mine when I ran 275's.

That's a tough question to answer. Depends if your truck is loadeded or unloaded, going up a steep grade etc... An EGT gauge will tell the story.

Check my sig. I've been running 275's almost a year now. no probs with tranny. but I do service it more than necessary. just to be safe. remove the resonator and muff. install a BHAF. that will wake it up enough. without ruining your tranny. . My pyro usually doesn't get above 1000*. sometimes I drive it hard. get gauges to be sure.
