My hot rod had a poor idle, surged at light throttle, became hard to start. In short, driveability was terrible.
HO pumps don't have the fuel delivery capability of an SO pump. SO and HRVP's seem to deliver about the same amount of fuel each other when both are wire tapped and set on kill.

alright thanks. iv been pricin stuff out and lookin around. is changin the vp a hard task? another is which would you recommend. FASS or AirDog?

Changing VP is not hard. You should have no probs if you work on your truck yourself, plenty of threads here will help you plus the video and step by step on the wiki.
