24 valve head studs.

Does anyone know if you have to do any mods to the head or valve cover when you install studs on a 24 valve motor. Also do I need to run a tap thru all the holes, if so what size tap and how long of a tap do I need.

no you don't have to modify the head or valve cover if you use standard size studs. You don't have to tap the holes if ya don't want to because you are not using the holes in the head to get an accurate tourqe.

It's a good idea to run a tap through the holes, but not necessary. If you do, then there will be no problems with the valve cover. If not, the front two studs and possibly the rear stud might touch but that takes all of 5 minutes to take care of with a die grinder.

i would recommend putting either a dab of silicone or thread sealent on installation. Prevention of any leaks.

Only do what the manufacturer recommends in their installation instructions. Putting extra stuff on the stud could likely get you an improper torque reading.

They don't go in any water jackets, they are all blind holes. If anything, put a coating of oil on the threads going into the block.

I had no clearance issues with the ARP's that I installed, although some would still recomend running a bottom tap to clean the threads. If this is a rebuild there is no reason not to do this.
