24 valve p7100
pickin up a 24 valve no turbo no vp44... for $1000
gonna rebuild it and put my pump on it
i know where to get lines and that sorta stuff
im wondering about the technicals, popoff pressures and injector stuff
does anyone know the specs on 24v injectors and spec on p7100 pressures
and any differences on line sizes and injector sizes?
can i buy injectors tuned for the conversion and performance injectors for the conversion?

did the conversion on mine too. you can get the lines from scheid or any of the other major parts vendors but they are all scheids lines. im running .090 mild steel lines on my truck. steer away from the .120 stainless lines i had nothing but problems with them. im running my injectors at the vp pop off and dont plan on changing them. truck runs great and gets awesome fuel mileage

there was a big debate on pop off pressures over on Comp D awhile back and alot of people with p-pumped street trucks that lowered their pop off pressure ended up changing back to vp pop off pressures.

do you have a writeup and some parts lists and additional info, my plan is to buy a ford 94-97 put a zf6 4x4 behind the 24v p-pump...im gonna build the powertrain then find a pickup, i may buy a performance p-pump yet.... ive heard you have to change the gears over on the 24v to the 12v style is this true? i would like to sell my truck i have now for some funding lol so i dont really want to use my pump... plus i need some wheels while the project is underway

the only gear you need is the gear for the p7100 the rest of the gears are the same. there isnt a whole lot to the swap pretty much just bolting on the parts.i did the conversion on my truck start to finish in 3 evenings after work. alot of people make the conversion sound more difficult than it really is.
the only parts you should need are pump, pump gear, 12 valve gear case( you can use the 24 valve cover on it) p7100 support bracket, conversion lines with spacer unless you are planning on building a custom intake horn,oil line, t fitting, and close radius street 90 for oil supply to injection pump and a longer oil line for the vac pump, throttle cable and a relay and solenoid to run the pump shut off solenoid. there are some good deals on parts over on comp d. I did my whole conversion for under $1000. i would try to find a complete pump with linkage. the linkage is expensive if you have to buy new. i had a bunch of pics i took during the project but my phone crashed and i lost them all. Let me know if you have any questions.

yes i wanna run a twin ram can i just get 2 heaters and take the grids out?
why do i need the 12v gear case? is the hole in a diff spot or can it just be drilled bigger?
did you buy your pump with linkage or did you have a 12valve

I'd stay away from Pensacola. Haven't heard many good reviews, but plenty of negative ones.
I've run p-pump pressure injectors and VP pop offs, the VP seems to run better.
12v twin ram won't fit on a 24v due to injector line placement.

you could run 2 heaters stacked but with the height of the 2 grid heaters a stock intake horn will almost be touching the hood and you will have to run the dip stick under the intake
you will need the 12 valve gear case. 24 valve case wont work. p7100 hole/ bolt pattern is alot bigger than the vp case.
i parted out a 12 valve truck so i had the linkage but alot of the pumps i see for sale come with the linkage on them. linkage is around $400 to buy new.
steer way clear of anything from pensacola diesel. you get what you pay for. it isnt worth risking your motor trying to save a few dollars on injectors. heard of lots of problems with the pumps too.
still running the stock injectors in my truck. havent decided how crazy i want to go with it yet and funds have been a little tight lately.
have the timing set at 16.5 degrees right now and im running a custom #100 plate that i ground for it.
right now the truck should be doing around 400hp/900 ft. lbs w/o the water/meth. last time i had it on the dyno i was running the stainless lines and blew one starting the run.

thats an easy number to reach with a p-pump. with 75 hp sticks, DDP 042 dv's, #100 fuel plate, 4000gsk, and a 64/71/14 turbo should keep things fairly cool with a properly tuned pump. you should be right in that power ball park. buddy that just p-pumped his truck is running that setup with the exception of a 62/71/14 and it is a good running set up but gets a little warm in the egt department. gotta love the torque numbers you get from the p-pump.
