Ya, a VP truck can put down 700+rwhp just on fuel, its begging to be released.

CR truck would be into the 900's and a P pump truck who knows 1700+

Oh boy fuel systems. Now theres something with quite a few different answers. You can go as simple as moving the stocker to the frame rail by the tank, to adding a pusher pump like a Holley, fass, airdog or a gear driven type all the way to changing out the cam and converting to a mechanical pump driven off the cam lobe like a 12 valve motor uses. I personally am using a RASP which is a gear driven pump driven by a pulley off the harmonic balancer. Not sure they are still available. I have had no real problems with it and over 100k on it. There are other similar setups like it though, the MITUSA and Fuel Boss are a couple similar ones. I am however getting ready to put in a cam within the next month or so and am very seriously considering switching over to the 12 valve mechanical style pump once I get the cam installed. Many are quite happy with the fass and airdog that you mentioned. Again just do some searching on here to find out all the facts on them and go with the one you are most comfortable with.

I talked to a guy that owns a diesel repair shop and he told me that with the setup i had that if i added a hot rod vp44 and some 50hp injectors that i would be pushin over 400 to the ground. Is this true?

That would be pretty cool. Might just do that for now until i get outta college and have a steady income. Is the dragon fire better vp44 better than the hot rod? Is there a set of 50hp injectors that you would reccomend? Mike Homen, i like your signature, two bald rear tires, front ones are brand new. My tires are the same way on my truck

I guess that I should rotate them someday, but I'm lazy.

Have you done any boost launchs yet? Preload the 3third gear, just like doing a burnout, but in 4X4 mode. At about 30mph, pop her into 2wd.

I used to have my truck all jammed up, but tires got expensive.

If all you want is 400hp, I wouldn't go for a HRVP just yet. Some 90hp sticks would be just fine, and much cheaper. HRVP is around $1600 or $1800, a set of F1 Mach 1.6 (90hp) is around $700.

The mach 1.6's are a good choice for nearly stock truck. I'm running a HRVP on stock sticks right now, the truck feels pretty strong for being stock. I haven't put it on the dyno yet, but I would guess that I'm around 350rwhp at the wheels. A nice reliable daily driver and yes it can still do a burnout. Try that with a stock truck.

Haven't done one of those yet. i have been drivin with it in 3rd and i will push the brake and give her some fuel then let the brake off but nothin like that.
Just Mach 1.6's with my stock fuel system would give me 400hp?

I'm thinking with your Quad and the 1.6's, you'd be right close to 400hp. Might want to look into a lift pump, your fuel pressure might get low with the stock setup.

DieselRebel24, ive got the same truck you have with a timing box and 150hp farmboys injectors, and the injectors were by far the best upgrade ive put on this truck. really woke it up. i guess im pushing around 340-350 and you have a fueling box so you should be in the low 400 range for sure. farmboy's or coaltrain have the best injectors for the money by far. half the price of Machs or DDPs with awesome performance.

I bought a set of dynomite sticks for $700 cdn bones, hard to beat that. Quality you can tell blind folded. F1 sticks are as good as you can get. 1.6 you'll be into the low 400's, with the right combo. A larger turbo and stack a smarty in there, you could even be in mid 400's. A cheap fuel fix is to buy a extra hi volume fuel pump (Hi flow carter) cheap cheap pump, put it down by the fuel tank, in series with the stock lift pump. Buy a cheap pressure gauge so you can watch the pressure. change the fuel filter often. You should be ok, until you find some $$$.

I've only run four different manufacturer types of sticks, so far the best is F1, dynomite, then the RV275, than who ever else is cheapest.

If you lived up here, I have a few extra sets laying around for you to try out

We do have GTG's up here in the good old canuckville everyonce and while. I think we have one on March 22, 2009. We just hangout and let the smoke roll. Last outing I killed my head gasket by trying to even out the rubber on the rear tires. I staged in 2wd mode at a light, when I should have staged in 4X4. My buddy put some big hurt on me that day. Regardless on what you do, stock or all moddified these things break down sooner or later. They are easy to fix. A six speed truck will last forever, so enjoy...and by all means keep your foot on the floor.
