24 1/2" Grover truck horn install tips and tricks
Aight got a single off a Peterbilt from my buddies shop. I've read posts on here but it seems most go w/train horns. Groverairhorns.com makes air kits but what I need to know is how much air do I need (i.e. how big of a tank), how difficult is the install, and what is the best way to rig up a switch and keep the stock horn? I assume that a single 24 is going to use a lot less air than a set of triple train horns. It looks like the 3 gal kit is $360, is that a good deal or can I get it somewhere else cheaper? Any info on this specific set up would be much appreciated!

I called hornblasters.com and asked the guy if he could do just an air system since i already have the horns...he hooked me up big time.
i got a 5 gallon stainless tank, a viair 400c compressor, and all related fittings and the pressure switch.
the entire kit shipped to my door is $360 i coulda got it for under $300 had i went with the 3 gallon black tank and a smaller compressor.
as for the switch, i bought a pushbutton "starter" switch from the local autozone to activate the solenoid on the horn, and used a simple toggle switch to run power to the compressor. i did this just 3 months ago so if you have any more questions let me know
