I have been thinking about putting a 215 pump on my truck too. Mainly because Im tired of the sputter this 160 has at 3k plus rpm's. Other than that it seems to run really good. Heck, I havent had any bigger pump'd trucks outrun me with the same mods. If i could get this pump to turn 3500rpm's under load I would just keep it, and throw some new era 370's in it.

how far do you want to go? you could have a diffrent cam, 13mm p&b installed, governer lightened, however im quite positive you dont need any of that. What kind of air do you have available, what are your hp goals, where do you want to make peak power. we need details to better guide you.

 

ok my mods are in my sig and i am getting either a silver bullet or a sps 66 soon for the air part because my stocker is way overfueld but i called piers last night and they said they would build my pump to flow 325cc but if i go much higher i will lose my idle which i need for a dd but what do you guys think my pump is flowing now with the 3000 gsk 191 dv and no fuel plate whatsoever? also do you guys think i can go higher than 325cc without losing my idle too much and does that just mean my idle will be low or it will idle rough or what? thanks a bunch

 

If I were you---I would send it to Scheid. Those guys do killer work. My friends truck with a 215 pump is WAY over 400cc's. It idles fine and he turns it to 4500RPM. Smooth as silk.
