215 pump on 95 12v
#2
You might want to do some searching on that topic. there are several threads floating around about the different pumps.
But yes the 215 pump will work in you're 95. The 95 also should have a 175 pump, unless it has been changed. The 215 pump uses all the same go fast parts that the other HP rated P 7100 pumps do. The 215 will produce more power with the same mods.
As for swapping pumps for more power, there are many guys around this very forum that are making A whole lotta HP with the smaller pumps.

we need to know your hp goals and what your trying to accomplish. you can get to around 500 with the pump you already have, and if you want to go crazy 800+ your going to need more than a 215

600HP will be had with a 215 easily enough, even your stock 175 pump probly put there with enough tuning and plenty of air. In my opinion a race pump would be a little much for just 600HP, now if you want more then , but if not I'd save the money and get a 215. Or stick with your 175 and get it tuned by someone maybe.

that 175 with a 215 cam would work well a 215 will retard fuel timing with alot of rack travel. (19mm and up) mines set at 17mm and making 465cc's
and yes you can make upwards of 600hp with a 215 I was just trying to get an idea for what his goals were so I could give him advise acordingly. Why buy a new pump when it is not needed.

Smokeblack:
Cost depends on how much you want to do yourself vs. having someone do part/all. You can make a #100 plate for free, do the "washer" governor spring kit for next to nothing. Or you can spend $125 on the professional 3K GSK and $100 - 200 for a fuel plate. You can find some bigger delivery valves for $200 - 250 and about $30 for the DV socket and do that yourself.
To calibrate and turn up the pump requires taking it off. It's not a hard job to do at all and can save you some $. I would think you could have the pump checked, cleaned and calibrated for under $200 if you take it to them. If they take the pump off add a couple hours or more of shop time. If you do take the pump off yourself you will have to reset timing so would need tools for this ($150 - 250).
Add that up and its $450 (650 if timing tools) on the low end up to $800 - 900 for purchased parts and pump shop labor. Price for a race ready Piers pump $3500. Remember all the hidden costs of a bigger pump - more air, ie, bigger turbo, different filter, exhaust, etc. It's the domino affect all over. As they say on TV, "The grin on your face - PRICELESS"
