I would like to install EDM 1.5's or possible 2's, what do I used for a boost fooler if I'm not going to use a box?

Couple places sell stand alone boost foolers.

They run about $70-$90 bucks.
For a couple hundred more, you could get an EZ.
(used ones are selling for under $300 bucks)

As I said, I would rather run injectors alone. I had a 3-button Edge on my 99 and I really liked it but I don't want any additional timing.

A friend of mine rigged up a valve set at 20 psi that went between the manifold and MAP on my 99 that fooled the sensor. Is there any reason this same setup will not work on my 01?

I would not waste 300.00 on an EZ, I would pay an additional 100.00 for a Comp.

Now, if someone offered me an EZ for 175.00-200.00 I would consider it.

Nice picture! I could never understand the reason for the spring?
When I did mine I just used a turnbuckle with 2 hook ends ( had to buy 2 = $4.00) Could not find any fine thread locking nuts (small town) so I safety wired it to keep it from loosening. Worked great for 20,000 miles. Just another way to do it I guess.

Doesn't the spring allow some opening of the wastegate?

Finally turnbuckled my turbo this afternoon. I used to easily hit 1250° gettin' it up hill, but after the turnbuckle, I can just barely get them up to 1050° after standing on it the whole way up the same hill. I noticed I was only building about 26-27 psi of boost where most people were reporting about 35 psi. When I got back the house, I check to make sure it hadn't loosened or moved and noticed that my filter minder was pulled down to 65% used. It has never moved before. I'm thinking it's definately time to switch to a BHAF.... I'm thinking that the stock air filter wouldn't allow enough air through it when the turbo is fully spooled. I'm also going to check the boost boots, but that will have to wait until the engine cools down some....
