2000 fuel pump works some times?
I am working on a 2000 the fuel pump works Intermittently. I can get the truck to start but I usuall need to hold the throttle dow to the floor and when it does start their is a large cloud of white and blue smoke. and it has the slow to respond peddle and it will not rev up past about 2000 rpm. This is a buddies truck and I am trying to help him out. He also put new fuel lines and a new fuel pump on the truck I have tried replaceing the fuel relay and I have checked for voltage at the pump and when it is now working their is no power to the pump.

Help how can i clear the codes on this truck? I un hooked the batt and the codes r still their. I also touched the terminals together still now luck?
