2000 4x4 wanting more power whats next?

ok i am new, i got a 2000 dodge ram 4x4 24v cummins i got the edge comp chip, straight pipe, and a BHAF, new lift pump and injector pump, guages(trans, boost, egt) its running 16.02 in the 1/4 mile in 2wd and it will do that all night right on the money. but i want to hit 15's i know i need a 4" ehaust thats next, but what after that ???( injectors? if so what kind?)

tonight there is a big diesel comp going on at san antiono race way and i am going i am going to try 4wd off the line and shift to 2wd after i get going my big problem is i boil the tires off the line if i stage more than 25lbs of boost and that loses lots of time so i am going to try the 4wd tonight and see what happens i can probly get 15.9 - 15.7 if i can stage 27-30lbs on the line and not spin out. we will see

Wow, you haven't snapped an input/output shaft on the tranny yet?
25lbs of boost and you should have by now.

You can start in 4x4, but shifting out down the track won't accomplish much,
as it won't actually shift out of 4x4 until you let off the skinny pedal.

Injectors, I'd say a 1.5 or 2 unless you plan on getting a bigger turbo.
They should be kick enough to get you down to the 15's.

What he said !!!

I would guess in 4wd you would break something for sure. Maybe your spinning tires in 2wd helped your shaft from snapping but hooking up in 4wd....Look out!!!

Did you tap the wire or are you running in EZ mode?

heck, I'm surprised the trans(assumed auto) is still holding with a comp... especially with high boost launches....

I'd beef up the transmission before you worry about getting into the 15's...... which can easily be had with a set of injectors....

25psi wow is that stock converter slipping thats why you arnt breaking shafts . cause every one else breaks stock shafts way before 25psi i have seen them come apart at 15psi let alone 25psi . its time for billet ones if you plan on keeping this up much longer. since this is a auto truck i would look at a set of injecters and a turbo since you have a hy9 on there. look over on the tdr i saw some nice turbos going for good prices.
