200 hp chip for cummins
hey guys i have a 03 ram (check sig for other info). in another thread (12's Baby ) a guy told me that there are duramaxes runnign around with 500 hp with just electrical enhancments.... i guess edge and powermax are coming out with boxes like this? does anyone have a thread or something like that with a duramax that has 500 hp on just electrical mods id like to take a look. thanks

no, not yet, we'll have to see how high they will take the new engine still. Right now you can get 110 boxes(chips), but there is more to come I hear.

They made 218hp over stock I believe. $2800 includes a chip and reprogrammed ECM....a bit spendy, but fairly easy it seems like. It's still a Duraminimum to me!

Bullydog is talking about making one. They have a 210 or 220 for the Duramaxs but if you add that chip plus a fuelin box your reach up to 4-500 on Dmax. They wont make anything higher than a 135hp for the PSD's. Doesnt bother me i can still smoke them through an intersection with no stall up no problem. ;D

My boss has a Duramax and with the edge 150 hp program he put down 380 hp and 800 ft.lb And with it stack with a hypermax turner he got 450hp with the truck down shifting on the dyno.

are you sure you mean hypermax? dont you mean hypertech?

wow that would be great. i really do not want to have to change my turbo, head gaskets, or springs. adding 200 hp would mean 505 hp, and with 200 added hp im guessing maybe that would add 300- 320 ft lbs? meaning id have almost 900 ft lbs. perfect for me. i hope they come out with this stuff soon

Kyle Banks in Kentucky made like 515 on David TD's dyno here in Kentucky a couple weeks ago with just boxes. Smoked like a train and will spank most vehicles around. I have poured lots of money in mine and it still wont run with him. DOg gone it!!!!

A guy I know put down 397hp with his 03 6spd with a Quadzilla box and a stock HY35. That's even on the stock clutch without much fuss. ;D

No argument at all on the 397HP, I have seen it with just a box. The HY will not allow you to use much of the 397HP to tow like we do, EGT's are way up. Also, the stock clutch in the 03 that I was refering to is still holding, pulling everyday. I am really impressed with the 03 all the way around, except the turbo.
