2 piece exhaust manifolds?
I just saw on ebay some guy is selling a 2 piece exhaust manifold for the 24v for around $225! What does anyone know about the two piece manifolds, he says it's a performance manifold any info? Thanks

I remember reading something about this, I believe Cummins offers a two piece exhaust manifold for our trucks. You got a link cause I can't seem to find it so I can look at the pictures.

I believe there was a thread not long ago about a guy having trouble with that same manifold from ebay. I think it was leaking at the 2 piece joint and he wasnt able to make full boost and everything was covered in soot in the engine bay. I dont remember the out come or what he did to solve it. It could of been just a problem with the one he got and the rest might be fine, but i would try and get some more feedback before getting one or stick with a proven one, ats bd htt.

Get the item number from the auction and post it here. Then anyone who is curious can just type that number into the ebay search field and find the part.

DON'T GET IT, i was the one posting on this manifold, it leaks bad, i emailed the guy and he tells me the soot will seal it up... of course i have already drilled for the egt probe, and port matched it to the turbo, so now its mine, but i can make ya a deal on it if ya want..lol.. maybe my bolts are spaced farther away then some, but on mine it would not seal up... i ended up porting out my stock one and putting it back on, it wasnt cracked yet?? Your choice though!!

I used a carbide cone bit in a die grinder, then traced out the turbo gasket on my manifold then started grinding... MAKE sure you have eye and arm protection!! I didn't remove alot of material, just blended the manifold out to the turbo.. doesn't take to long at all... 30 mins or so... hope this helps..
