Look in the the classifieds section there's a red dually I believe a 95, with 11 x 16.00 which according to owner equates to 37"ers wow and 7" of lift nice rig, there's also a black dually that looks pretty sharp too

thanks you guys for the quick responces. i realize that this is sort of a newbie ost but hey, i don't see that many trucks out there running this setup and i thought it might suit me just right.
wmatt is that a kit that you are running? i don't know much about the DT systems. is that 3" or 2"?

It is the Skyjacker 2 1/2 springs with Bilsteins. The DT stuff doesn't lift it any. The track bar allows me to recenter the axle and the control arms are 1/2 longer than stock to push the axle forward.

does skyjacker offer the springs and shocks as a kit?
i'm pretty sure that i can build my own control arms. i'm just cheap, otherwise i would totally get those DT arms. those look sweet!
is the only difference in the track bar that it is adjustable? or does it have a different bend in it to accomidate the new angle of the draglink?
how does pushing the diff forward affect the steering?
thanks for all the info so far

The shocks are something you get sepperate.
The track bar is a straight bar, no bend, and is pretty beefy with a replaceable hiem joint at one end. On a side note because it is a straight bar you can't use a Mag Hi-Tech cover on the front.
Pushing the axle back to its original position after the leveling kit went on really helped the ride and the steering.

Just the opposite.
I put the longer control arms on about 6 months after the leveling kit and they really improved the steering and ride. I originally installed the longer control arms to get a little more clearance for the larger tires. The improved ride and steering was an added bonus.
With only the leveling kit on the axle moves rearward because of the way the control arms attach to the frame and the axle. The axle is being pushed away from the frame by the springs and rotates aft in an arc. this made the steering a little more sensitive than original. Not bad but a little difference I noticed.
The ride also improved because the springs and shocks can now be compressed in a more original position.
Keep in mind that the axle actually moves forward a little when the front end is compressed going over a bump. Without the longer control arms its like the truck is always running uphill and bumps can be a little more jarring.
I was happy with the way the truck rode after the leveling kit and Bilsteins went on, but now it rides like a dream.
Hope that isn't confusing.
