2 inch body lift for 99-01 sport diesel

Does anyone have a 2 inch not 3 inch body lift on their 99-01 sport diesel? I would like to get another 2inches but dont wanna get new coils or have to add spacers. I can find 3 inch for my truck but no 2 inch for a sport model, any help would be appreciated thanks

when i was looking for a 3" body lift for my buddys 96 i couldnt find one for the diesel equipped ones after a lot of research the most common response for y they dont offer one for the diesel or they say not to use with diesel models was something to do with cooling a diesel with a body lift will not cool like it should and will heat up excessivly now i dont know for sure if this is a real problem and im sure someone else on here is chime in with experianse with a diesel on a body lift all in all we just went with the 2"spacer from hell bent steel on ebay it was only 65 doller or so we bought two kits and put them on the 96 and his 04 the 96 has 17" rims wrapped in 35x12.5r17 nitto mud grapplers and it works good hardly no rub only at right before wheel lock

The main issue usually is trying to get the intercooler tubes lined back up. Since you are lifting the body and the radiator and intercooler with it, but the engine is staying in the same place, it can be hard to get the tubes to line back up.

If you just want 2 inches but can only find 3 inch body lifts, just buy the 3 inch and cut the blocks down, I have done it before, a bandsaw works well for that.

What he said. I've known many people that have done that with full size broncos. Even some have used hockey pucks. I would cut down the 3" lift, buy new bolts, before using pucks but it has been successfully done before.

dont do it. body lifts are pointless and dont look good they just throw off the bodylines and mess with shift linkage and intercooler boots. do it right once dont do goofy lift kits like that.

Dude have you seen his truck??? Do you really think after all that work he would do a half-arsed job on the bodylift? Sure bodylifts look like crap when somebody does a crappy job installing them, but when done right they are nearly invisible. I am not huge fan of bodylifts (especially when that is the only lift on the vehicle) but that doesn't mean that they are not the right option sometimes. I have a 1 inch bodylift for my Wrangler to go with the 5 inches of suspension lift it already has, and have no second thoughts about putting it on.

You can shorten the intercooler tubes 2" and they work just fine! I agree that a body lift looks cheap and pointless but to each thier own. I would just put the spacers in the front and leave it level. (do nothing with the back)

Looks pretty level to me.

Most bodylifts look cheap because the installer doesn't take the time and effort to do all the little things that should be done to make it look nice.

yea its true that if done right it will liook better but theres something about all the linkage and levers not lining up is what makes me hate them. i know many people that have jeeps and trucks that do huge lifts and then add small body lifts but thats just to clear larger tires without rubbing. i had a lifted toyota and it had a 5 inch suspension and 3 body and every time i looked in the wheel well i could see the huge gap from the frame to the cab and it just looked cheap.

Well I got my body lift kit. I know what I am going to do about the intercooler pipes, I am going to get another set of used pipes and cut a section out and reweld them in to make up for the difference. That should elimanate any issues. I still need some new body mount bushings and intercooler hoses, and while I am doing this I am getting a new steering box and steering shaft. I should have it installed by the end of spring. We have over 2 ft of snow on the ground still. I will post some pics of it when its done.
