1st gen stack pics
I just got a killer deal on stacks from a friend of mine. Free plumbing, just like the 5" kits from ebay, all I have to do is buy the stacks. Do I want turn-outs or mitre cuts? I think the mitre cuts look best, and I know I can drill a water hole at the bottom, but I have not seen many 1st gen's with dual stacks.... Post pics please.

Its only a single but...
Don't worry about the hole in the bed. I drilled holes in a circle and the connected the dots with a jigsaw. The hole makes for a nice drain whe washing the bed out.

Question???
How hot do the stacks get around the window? I mean do they get hot enough to the point where they will start to melt the seal?
I notcied a milk crate by one of the stacks in a picture, Would the stacks say be cool enough for the milk crate to rest against it?

I have the milk crate in there to hold hitch pins and some little odds and ends and i have never had any problems. But the stacks will melt a cooler lid, that is the whitish brown blob on the left stack. Milk crate no problems, Mt Dew and coolers thye will melt.
