just to make 1k ft pounds? SPS62 or bigger turbo, cold air intake, 3k GSK, DDP4 injectors, head studs (may want to toss in HD valve springs while you're in there) and run 43psi, time the injection pump at 16 or so degrees. That will get you around 1000-1200 foot pounds. With the extra money to burn I'd go with a cam and head work (porting).

o-ring. studs, big injectors, turbo, intake, laser cut d/v's, camshaft, 3 or 4gsk, timing advance 17-20* and grind your stock fuel plate to a #0 or a #100. that setup should give you plenty of fuel and your hp will depend on the turbo you go with

you better plan on spending at least half on clutch and tranny upgrade cuz you can have all the power in the world but if your tanny breaks its just a real nice paperweight

1k ftlbs torque is rather easy with a 215 pump. My recipe was DDP 2's, 100 plate full forward, modded AFC arm, HTT 3 piece manifold, B-1 turbo, full 4 inch exhaust, AFE stage 2 intake, and 15* timing. Honest to goodness put down a toasty 417/1003 before the headgasket gave out, on a Mustang dyno. Same truck with just an 11 plate and same timing put 328/841 down.
I'd say a stage 2(75hp) injector is all that is needed, some modest timing(15-16.5), #10 or #100 plate, 3k gsk, free flowing intake, 62/71/14 turbo of your choice, and exhaust would do very well and keep EGT's in check. 1000 ft/lbs is not hard to do with these trucks, as long as the clutch will hold it.
