1997 P7100 Fuel pressure gauge install ??

My dad has a 1997 CTD, and we want to add a fuel pressure gauge. The only thing holding us back is that there is talk that the "surging" from the LP will kill the gauge. I have also heard adding a "snubber" or a needle valve will fix this?? Any help here guys?

I use a needle valve
I would recomend one as the 12v LP really hammers compared the the 24v set-up I had.

Yessir

that surging is a killer.. use a needle valve setup similar to the one i run.. I have more pics in my gallery.. So far 0 issues with the nv and FP gauge....

I ran an isolator before, do yourself a favor and ditch that thing, save ur money and buy something else. I run a tapped banjo bolt on the ip to a steel line that was hooked to an isolator, from there i double male connected it (found connector at pep boys) to the plastic oil tubing that runs inside the cab..... as shown in the pics below...

the FP gauge is in the center.. FP is high due to Alteration of OFV...

Hope that these help, and please feel free to observe them in the gallery, they have better descriptions.... This is Infidels setup just with some minor differences...
