1996 12 valve or 1998 24 valve

Ok i found a 12 valve for 7500 and it has 180k on it and i also found a 24 valve for 8k with 110k on it. I would like your guys opinion on witch to get? My goal with it will be daily driver 20mpg and maybe 300-350 at the wheels. Thanks Jon

My vote go's toward the 12v. 350 HP can be had for almost free, get good fuel mileage, and be very reliable.
Good Luck with your decision

After voting for the 12 valve, my vote still stands! That is a nice looking 96.
Good Luck!

The one ad says the 12v is a 95, which would mean it would have the 47RH. If it is a 96, then both the 96 and 98 will have the 47RE. They should be exactly the same, although some connectors inside didn change over the years.

I would like to at least a rust free truck to pick from. Its almost easier to buy a used southern truck, than repair the rust on mine.

You need a sunday church truck, and a truck race on friday night to beat on the ricer girly-boy crowd.
