19.5 Wheels and Tires
Help me!! I need some field data.
Its been a while since I installed my Skyjacker leveling springs and new shocks, as well as removing my overload springs. I also added P295 BFG TKO tires to soften the ride (large sidewall) and decrease my highway cruising RPM's......but.......I'm looking at the benefits of 19.5 inch tires, especially long term wear.
How harsh in the ride? Is this a modification that should be left to serious load pulling trucks only, or is this a doable option for daily drivers? Will P26570R19.5's fit easily within the wheel wells? Is there a better option I haven't discussed?
Thanks once again.

I am on my second set of tires. I got 89,000 out of the first and had over a quarter inch of tread left. I had one tire develop a four inch air bubble on the sidewall and I wanted a little taller and wider tire, so i went ahead and got new tires. I am real hard on tires, but I know I would have gotten over 100,000 miles out of the five that did not bubble on me.
I am not pulling anything about 75% of the time, and the ride is a little harsher than stock, but it has never been a luxury sedan.
The 265's should have no problem fitting. They are about 34 to 34.5 inches tall. I believe people are running 35 inch tall tires with just a levelling kit. Plus the 265's will have more side wall to absorb bumps than my 245's. You may want to look at the lowest load range tire you can find, so that the tire will flex more.
