19.5 wheels for my truck???
If I have this right, the earlier trucks used the same hubcentric as the ford wheel. My '99 has adaptors which use the ford wheel. I would like to go to 19.5 dual wheels. Which size hubcentric is the GM wheel that is used on the vans? Is this the same as the Ford wheel or the later Dodge wheel?
Right now the truck has wheels that are the same as 1998 Ford 16 inch wheels. Does anyone know which wheel will fit for 19.5? It is getting close to tire time and I want to go the the larger wheels.

haul'n dont know exactly what your wanting i thought that ford and dodge were the same and chevy was smaller. i've wondered for a while why you had ford wheels on your truck, are they stronger? i worked for a company had mostly dodge 1 tons and a couple fords, sometime you get a ford wheel on a dodge looked ok to me.

I am trying to determine if the GM dual 19.5 wheels will work with my Ford adapted hubs.

i have never found a 8 lug wheel that would bolt on out trucks that is 19.5 except ricksons, big bucks[except the rail road special order wheels]. but if you have the adapters for the 10 on 285 mm bud pattern of the big trucks it may be a go. hit chromewheel.com and check out some of there info. and they have decent price on 19.5 alco refurbs. mike

Did a search and found this, I still have the question, is the ford wheel from 1998 the same hubcentric diameter as the Dodge wheel:
There is a 19.5" wheel that is made by Accuride, that is mainly made for P-series Chevy stepvan that has the same bolt pattern as our Dodge trucks. But the inside hole is just a hair smaller and can be ground out to where they will fit right on. Someone on this site has a set that worked good, but I don't know who it was. I have looked for this wheel in salvage yards all across the country but have never found any. We deal in 19.5" tires and I really wish I could find some of these used wheels for my 02'.

Hey Redneck, were you at the Houston dyno day? I was there and I dont remember meeting you . What truck was yours?
I did see that truck witht the 19 fives and the lo pros and man what a sharp truck . I also saw the outside tires get a nice big sipe right down the middle after running on the dyno with the duals on .

Oh too bad, its fun watching guys who have more money than they Know what to do with ruin things that are perfectly fine . ie cutting an outside dual dang near in half just to save the trouble of pulling it off

so does anyone know of some one that is making a adapter to put f450/550 wheels on our dodges? and i have checked the other places, but i have not found a set to fit the 8 lug on 220mm bolt circle. i found a set of tires and i am afraid to dump the money on them without knowing. mike
