19.5 wheels...

Anyone running the 19.5in wheels? Just wanted to know if there was any upside to getting them besides the higher load rating.

Been running them for about a week now Pics in gallery.

All in all, I like them. I don't think I'll buy the 285's again, but we'll see. The 265/70R19.5's are plenty tall!

I ave never run them. But another benifit is the greatly increased tire life.

I'm still hunting for a set of 19.5 singles, like the ones used on older/smaller UPS trucks. They are very plain wheels, but thats O.K. with me.

How's the ride unloaded? Have you towed anything with them yet?

Ride is a bit choppier than with E range tires, but not terrible. Better than my Brothers Ton Chevy

Haven't towed yet, don't pull much with this truck.

If you're really going for load rating, stick with 265's and smaller. The sidewall on these 285's is a bit tall, and with 100psi in it I still get a little sway, empty. Need to go to 120psi and see if it's better!

Towed about 8500lbs with them the other night. Other than my alignment being screwed up, and needing overload springs, they were fine! No tire problems...maybe a little sway, but I need to check air pressure again!

We'll see what happens after I get the alignment right!
